Ok, here are all the details for our Autumn Workshops….
First four hour taster session, Friday 14th September, 10am till
2pm. Application Forms will be posted
out the week commencing 6th August so please email us with your address if you
wish to receive a form to register.
During this first Taster Session you will cover basic
collage techniques using vintage papers, images, ephemera, fabric, trim and
buttons, creating a beautiful finished collage with a whimsical feel. For this first session we will provide all
the materials you will need to create your first collage, to include; card, a
selection of background papers and vintage images, ephemera, lace, fabric and
trim, PVA glue, Diamond Glaze, craft print rollers and cutting mat. YOU will need to bring along a basic tool kit
of scissors, craft knife, pritt stick, glue spatulas, tweezers, small brushes
for glue, baby wipes and small decoupage squares.
This basic tool kit will be required at each of the workshops if you
sign up for them moving forward. You
will also need to bring along an A4 ring binder as we will be supplying you
with class notes at the workshops.
The cost for this first four hour taster session is £45.00
After the first taster session we will then be running
weekly two hour sessions every Friday from 10am to 12noon, beginning on Friday 21st Sept until
Friday 26th Oct. During these sessions
we will cover more advance collage techniques to include incorporating vintage
findings within your collage such as old keys, watch parts and jewellery
pieces, creating whimsical skirts from
vintage papers (see previous post for an example), hand stitching within your collage, working with
your family memorabilia to create personal collage pieces and for those of you that express an interest; incorporating
drawing and watercolour features within your work…. The creative journey is
endless and we know you will leave these sessions wanting more, it is such a wonderful expressive form of art. These weekly session will
require you to collect and bring in your own ephemera, lace and fabric to use
within your creations, or if time is precious and you are unable to get these
items together, all these elements will be available to purchase at The Little
White Studio, including some wonderful collage sheets and image CDs that can be
incorporated into many handmade items, not just collage!
The cost for the six week workshop (12hrs in total) is just
£8.50 an hour.
