 Emily's jewellery designs are unique and hand-crafted, created using digital techniques combined with hand-made/hand-built... elements.

 By digitally layering textures, patterns, text and photos Emily revives old photos and postcards creating little treasures that can be loved and worn as beautiful keepsakes.

Introducing Another of our Stall Holders - The Beehive

Let's welcome another of our Event stall holders - the lovely Katy of THE BEEHIVE. Katy creates pretty fabric and woollen creations for the home.

 

She has some wonderful pieces for Christmas, in particular the gorgeous fabric mistletoe, with pearl berries (as seen below), and some lovely Christmas Baskets with pretty fabric motifs.

Introducing our first Stallholder - Wellingham Herb Co.

We are thrilled to have THE WELLINGHAM HERB CO. back at our Open Studio Event, this November, they are back by popular demand!

 It’s founder, Becky, lives in Burwash and her company is a family run business where her herb nursery and Sussex Barn provide the perfect setting and ingredients for her Organic Soap business. 

Becky blends natural, quality ingredients with a wide selection of aromatic herbs, essential oils and shea butter to create a sumptuous range of products to include: Hand & Body Lotions, Soaps, Liquid Soaps, Bath Salts and Gift Sets. They also have a lovely range of herb-infused candles:

Christmas Open Studio - Dates Announced!!

FRIDAY 14 NOVEMBER - 10am - 2pm  &  6pm - 9pm

 

SATURDAY 15 NOVEMBER - 10am - 3pm

 

 

We are very excited about this years event, as each year the interest in our Open Studio grows and as a result this years event will be bigger with more on offer than previous years.

 

You will still have the opportunity to view the Studio and chat with our Tutors and learn about what is on offer in 2015 at The Little White Studio, but in addition this year we will run little workshops throughout the event where you can create and take away the art you make.... More details on this will be unveiled here in the coming weeks.

 

We also have a selection of local goods from Artists, Crafters & Shop Owners, in time for your Christmas Shopping, a few of our regular stall holders from previous years will be back again, but we are also welcoming some newcomers with exciting products for you to peruse.

 

Scrumptious Cakes and Refreshments will be on offer as usual during the day, and on the Friday Evening we have a local Chef cooking up some little delicacies that can be washed down with some festive mulled wine.  All proceeds from the Refreshments and our annual Raffle will got to the Horam Village Pre-School this year. 

 

Please check back regularly over the coming weeks to get updates on who will be exhibiting this year and watch our for your Flyers being distributed around the Hailsham, Horam & Heathfield areas.

The Kids had a "Hoot" at our Summer Workshop.....

 

Our Summer Workshop this year had a cute wooden Owl in a vintage music sheet tree as the main feature.  The Children started out by creating the background on canvas using acrylic paints to create their sky and earthy surroundings for the tree.

They then added their tree and created foliage using prints of circular plastic lids covered in paint and then pen and ink for stalks.  The most exciting bit for the Children was adding the Owl to it's branch and then covering the tree in little leaves.

 

The Children had a fabulous time and all did really well with their creations, here they all are, very pleased with their finished masterpieces!  Well done!!

 

 

 

 

Even though they were all given the same tuition they each added their own artistic interpretation and personality to their individual piece, here are close ups of some of the finished works of art...

 

 

Kids Summer Holiday Art Workshops

 

Our first workshop session of the Summer Holidays is Thursday 7th August, 9.30am to 11.30pm. Suitable for ages 7yrs upwards, the children will work on canvas using mixed media art techniques to create our "Owl in the Tree" piece, as shown here. Cost £20 inc all materials and refreshments. Places are limited so booking early is advised, please email or facebook message to reserve your place.
